These questions are intended to support thoughtful, flexible book club conversations. MOLDed ebook is available through public libraries via Libby and other digital platforms.

1. Family & Relationships

  • How did the strain of toxic mold affect the parents’ relationship and the family dynamic?

  • Which moments of parenting or partnership felt most relatable to you?

2. Resilience & Hope

  • Hope is a central theme in MOLDed. How did it help the author keep going?

  • Where did you see resilience most clearly—and when did it seem hardest to sustain?

3. Health & Uncertainty

  • What responses from professionals were most frustrating, and why?

  • How does the family’s experience with an invisible threat mirror other unseen health challenges, such as mental health or chronic illness?

4. Isolation & Support

  • How does the author convey the isolation of not being believed or understood?

  • What role did empathy—or the lack of it—play in this journey?
