I am a retired psychologist and consultant, former winery owner, and the mother of a family profoundly impacted by toxic mold exposure. I began writing to make sense of what happened to us — and to give voice to an experience that remains widely misunderstood.
That journey led to the publication of MOLDed: A Memoir of Loss & Resilience, as well as essays in The New York Times, Wired, Business Insider, Next Avenue, and elsewhere. My writing spans topics include toxic mold, dementia, family, and aging, with a consistent focus on themes of resilience and gratitude.

MOLDed: A Memoir of Loss & Resilience
After fighting toxic mold for twenty-two months, my family was forced to leave everything behind and relocate to a drier region. Although we have lived mold-free for more than two decades, the experience continues to shape how I understand health, home, and loss.
MOLDed chronicles our journey from upheaval and fear to resilience and gratitude. The book is available in paperback, ebook, audiobook, and through public digital library apps such as Libby.
